1. Who Processes Your Payment
All credit and debit card payments on Welvere are processed securely by Shopify Payments. Shopify is certified to PCI DSS Level 1 — the highest level of payment security certification available in the e-commerce industry. Your payment details are encrypted and sent directly to the payment processor; they never touch or remain on our servers.

3. Currency
All prices on our website are displayed and charged in British Pounds (£ GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. If you are paying with an international card, your bank or payment provider may apply a currency conversion fee — this is outside of our control.
4. When You Are Charged
Payment is taken in full at the time you place your order. You will receive an order confirmation email once your payment has been successfully processed. If your payment is declined, your order will not be placed, and you will need to try again with a different payment method or contact your bank.

Some card payments may require additional verification through 3D Secure (also known as Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode, or Amex SafeKey). This is an extra security step where your bank may ask you to confirm the payment via your banking app, a text message, or a one-time passcode. This helps protect you against unauthorized use of your card.
7. Express Checkouts (Shop Pay, Apple Pay & Google Pay)
We support Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay for a fast, secure, and seamless checkout experience. These accelerated checkout methods securely tokenize your data so your actual card number is never shared with us.
- Shop Pay: Allows you to securely save your shipping and payment details for faster checkouts across all Shopify-powered stores
- Apple Pay: Available on Safari and supported Apple devices
- Google Pay: Available on Chrome and supported Android devices
8. PayPal
We also offer checkout via PayPal. If you choose this method, you will be redirected to the secure PayPal portal to complete your transaction. You can check out using your existing PayPal account balance, or by using a credit/debit card linked to your PayPal account.
9. Failed or Declined Payments
If your payment is declined, please check the following:
- Your card details have been entered correctly
- Your card has sufficient funds or credit available
- Your card is enabled for online purchases
- Your bank has not flagged the transaction for security reasons

10. Fraud Prevention
To protect our customers and our business, all orders are subject to automated fraud screening. We reserve the right to cancel any order that is flagged as potentially fraudulent. If your order is canceled for this reason, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method, and we will contact you at the email address provided.
11. Refunds
If you are eligible for a refund, it will be returned to your original payment method. Refunds are processed within 7 business days of us receiving your return. Please allow additional time for your bank, card provider, or PayPal to reflect the payment in your account — this is typically 3 to 5 business days but can vary.

12. VAT & Tax
All prices displayed on our website are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. A detailed tax breakdown may be shown at checkout depending on your shipping destination. We do not charge any additional taxes at checkout beyond the displayed price.
